This is always a favorite part of the course, exiting and fighting from a disabled vehicle. All of the shooters did a remarkable job.
In this set of pictures, we are showing that in the "V" there is No cover! A 9mm rd. easily penetrates through the front car door, through the target and stopping only after hitting the door post. Do not be fooled into believing that a car door provides any ballistic protection.
I want to say a big thank you to Jennifer and Joe Harris at the West 160 Scrap & Salvage in West Plains, for being so kind to loan us the cars for our Tac 3 & 4 Pistol Courses for the last 3 years. Congratulations to James G. the winner of the "TOP GUN" for the Tactical 3 Pistol Course. This was a narrow victory! James had a time of 25.39 just edging out Brandon H. with his time of 25.65 These two guys were exciting to watch. A great job by all the shooters. Thanks for allowing Black Ops to have a part in your training.
In this set of pictures a 9mm rd. is fired through the front windshield, and it penetrates through the target, through the front seat, through the rear seat, through the trunk panel and the rd. finally came to rest inside the white jug that was in the trunk.

My son Kyle McLaughlin won the
"Top Gun" award with the fastest time recorded so far. 34 seconds flat !!!
It was good to have him on the range again. Thanks to all the shooters it
was great to have each one of you here.

My daughter Courtney, shooting her Glock 17 decided
at the last minute to shoot with us. She is standing next to her cousin
Johnny. She shot extremely well all day and placed 3rd overall. I am so
proud of her. |
My nephew John W. McLaughlin III won the "Top Gun" only by a few hundredths on this blistering hot day of almost 100 and very humid. This was his first time to have any formal training and he performed great all day. Congratulations Johnny well earned. Keep up the good work. |

This is without a doubt one of the best group of shooters I have ever had on my range. This drill was learning to shoot from cover. By the end of the second day everyone was shooting and moving with ease. It was absolutely amazing to watch their confidence grow as they progressed thru each drill we shot. Thanks to each one of you guys for allowing me to have a part in your training. |
TOP GUN" honors went to Chad J. who got revenge for his narrow defeat the day before by his long time friend Craig M. Congratulations well earned !!!

The closest time we have ever
recorded for "TOP GUN" honors. Craig M. edged out his good friend Chad J.
by a mere one onehundredth of one second. Craig had a time of 25.72 Chad's
time was 25.73. It just don't get any closer than that. Extremely great
shooting by all. Thanks for a great day on the range.
