I signed up to be a police officer in September of 1990. I have been through the Oklahoma CLEET program and Transition program to carry a semi-auto pistol. I signed up for the Black Ops Tac 1 in 2008. After completing the Tac 1 I signed up for the Tac 2 and the Night Shoot for 2009.

I encourage anyone out there carrying a firearm on the job or concealed to seek additional training. And I encourage them to go to Black Ops School of Combat.

I learned more in the 10 hours in this class (Tac 2) than 19 years as a Law Enforcement officer.

I now have the tools to build on. Black Ops School of Combat is 500 miles from where I live, but I would recommend it to anyone.

I have been a police officer for 19 years and have never had the quality of training that I had at Black Ops.

The night fire was excellent. I have had night fire training in the academy and semi-auto school. None of this compares to the training I received from Greg.

I attended Greg's Tac 1 class last year and realized, after a full day of shooting, how valuable firearms training really is to my decision to carry a hand gun on a day-to -day basis

Almost a year later, when I attended a big-name gun school's four-day handgun class, and I showed up looking forward to learning a whole bunch. I soon realized that, with 40 students in the class, the instructors were only going to be able to help me practice the skills I had already learned from Greg, and I wasn't going to have the chance to really improve.

I quickly noticed as well, that due to the vast numbers of unknown skill levels represented, I was going to have to practice safety precautions that, though I was glad some of my fellow students were observing, detracted greatly from the actual shooting time on the range.

While at Black Ops, Greg's ability to judge skill and safety levels guaranteed a minimum of wasted time on the range, and a maximum of shooting time. Greg's few and effective safety instructions provided an environment in which all shooters could focus on skill development with fear of negligent or careless actions.

At the big-name gun school, we shot about 650 rounds in the course of the four-day class, compared to 450 rounds in a single day at Black Ops, and when you pay to go to a shooting school, the one thing you want to get to do is shoot!
Additionally, the small class size at Black Ops was great for getting to know the other shooters, learning about their experiences, equipment, and attitudes, in a comfortable, like-minded, atmosphere.

Greg's instruction was practical, efficient, and always, always safe and friendly.

Finally, the cost for a one day class at Black ops was less than a tenth of the advertised cost of the big-name schools 4-day class.
Considering the value, activity, skill development, and friendships made at our local gun school, flying halfway across the nation for a more expensive class where you shoot less, just doesn't make sense!!

This is the second Black Ops School of Combat class I have attended and I can say one thing for sure. It won't be the last. I spoke to Greg regarding an old Ruger .45 that I could not shoot worth a flip. He said to bring it. We did not get a chance at the class to shoot this weapon but it did not matter. Through the duration of the Tac 1 class, I had such a dramatic improvement on my groups with my Sig that I started to doubt that my Ruger was off.

Sure enough, it was me and not the gun. I shot the Ruger today and was much better than before. Greg said that I would be able to shoot small groups with any gun put in my hand. He proved it. In one ten hour day, I showed more improvement than I thought possible. I also learned a lot of new things I had never seen before.

I have never met anyone more serious and professional at what they do than Greg. His mission is to see dramatic improvement from his students. Thanks again for a very well done handgun course. I will be signing up for another.
